T Bar closes

T BAR, a mainstay of Shoreditch clubbing till moving to Houndsditch last year, has announced it is closing.

With a free door policy, T BAR’s original home in the Tea Building on the corner of Shoreditch High Street and Bethnal Green Road made it an East London favourite where you could catch everyone from Michael Mayer to Andy Weatherall.

After moving, it continued to attract high profile guest such as Claude Von Stroke and Marshall Jefferson, while introducing a door charge.

Now after six years it has announced it will be closing, joining the likes of Fabric, Matter and SEOne, and casting a dark shadow over London clubland.
