Serato are smashing it with their Pro digital DJing software, the FX rock, it sounds good and in use is an absolute dream.
Gripe
Having to pay for it.
Summary
Serato DJ latest version has even more new features to make sure that this piece of software is leading the charge when it comes to digital DJing as well as the staggering amount of certified controllers, mixers and soundcards that can be used, this is a DJs dream.

Algoriddim djay Pro

Hype
Spotify integration, up to four decks, effects, loops and a sampler.
Gripe
Only available for Apple computers running OSX and no DVS vinyl support.
Summary
Algoriddim take their very successful djay software to the next level and are clearly aiming to attract professional users by including some very slick features while keeping the price competitive.

Native Instruments Traktor Pro 2.9

Hype
Loads of new upgrades with the latest version, STEMS enabled, plenty of options on set up, the overall performance is much better as well.
Gripe
So many possibilities, almost too much choice.
Summary
Fighting a close battle with Serato as to which is the industry standard when it comes to digital DJing software, lots of fans and lots of options for digital DJs.

Mixvibes Cross

Hype
This bit of DJing software just keeps getting better and better, and is also one to take the fight to the big boys, especially with Rekordbox sync and its great video features
Gripe
None other than that it still hasn’t gained the kudos of some of its competitors
Summary
This is a very good alternative to NI Traktor or Serato’s Live On each upgrade it just keeps getting better giving Mixvibes Cross true pro level performance.

Pioneer Rekordbox 3

Hype
A new more robust version of Pioneer’s preparation DJ Software.
Gripe
There is still no ability to mix within the app (as of yet) and the licence registration process is a bit of a pain.
Summary
The number one must have accessory for DJs who use Pioneers more recent CDJ and XDJ controllers for their gigs and best of all its absolutely free!
