There’s a Drum & Bass BBQ pool party happening for charity next month

One of London’s newest, most exciting venues, The Cause, is hosting a charity Drum & Bass BBQ pool party on 2nd September.

Featuring a selection DJs, MCs and singers, the party, hosted by Marmalade promoters, is being run in aid London mental health charities The CALMzone, Help Musicians UK and Mind in Haringey.

Sets will come from performers including Riya, Zero T, A Sides, Dave Owen, Al Pack and more, while vocalists on the bill include Collette Warren and Becca Jane Grey. You can find full line-up details on the event’s Facebook page.

“We set up Marmalade because we believe that by combining our experience and industry contacts, we can put on really great events which will bring people together to not only raise money for charity, but also get people talking about various issues affecting the world right now,” the party’s organisers say. “There are so many social, economic and environmental issues that affect our wellbeing. Living in this day and age, people are asked for charity the whole time, we understand that some important causes don’t get the funding they need because people aren’t interested. Therefore, through parties like Marmalade, we know that we can raise awareness from the younger audience, raise funds for various charities and have fun in the process."

The party is in perfect keeping with the foundation The Cause, which opened in April in a former car mechanics depot in Tottenham and which is build upon an ethos of mental health awareness and fundraising. The venue aims to raise £25000 for these charities within its first 12 months of operation via the membership scheme as well as fundraising events.

On top of a stellar line-up the event also feature a swimming pool, two BBQs (one vegan, one meat) and an on-site barber. The party runs from midday to 10pm.
