There’s a rave happening on a remote Scottish island this summer

Featuring Denis Sulta, Or:la, Saoirse, Vessels, Eclair Fifi and more!

There's a festival going down on the tiny Scottish Isle of Skye this year.

Taking place on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd September, Skye Live boasts an eclectic electronic and techno line-up and will take place in late September in Portree.

Denis Sulta, Vessels, Fort Romeau, Or:la and Moxie are among the names set to play the two-day festival that is accessible by ferry and train. Eclair Fifi will also be curating part of the line-up, hosting Saoirse, Big Miz and Afrodeutsche.

It also looks like there'll be some traditional cultural activities going down with the Fèis an Earraich 30th Anniversary Ceilidh Dance set to be held over the weekend.

The festival operates a small campsite just a short walk away from the main site which boasts picturesque views of the adjacent rolling hills and relaxing harbour. Demand is very high so the organisers recommend booking early. Other accommodation is available nearby, but late night transport is limited to taxi services.

The festival takes place on The Lump in Portree, Isle of Skye. The official website describes this as “a unique peninsula overlooking Portree Harbour” which is the “traditional location of Skye Highland Games.”

Weekend tickets start at £89 per person, with camping costing an extra £25. Day tickets are available from £39 plus booking fee.
