TOP 100 CLUBS PROFILE: GUABA, CYPRUS

This year Top 100 Clubs is powered by Miller Genuine Draft. Throughout the voting period, we will be shining a light on some of the key contenders for the 2014 crown.

Originally set up in 2006 as a beach bar with room for 200, it took only a year until Guaba was attempting to accommodate 2000 or so crazy party-people.

By 2008, problems from the local authorities forced a move to a larger — also beachside — venue along the Limassol Sea Road and having settled in to their new home they are going from strength to strength – currently sitting pretty at #15 in the Top 100 Clubs ranking.

It is no surprise when you consider that Guaba has one of the most passionate crowds anywhere in the world, who flock in their droves to catch the likes of Porter Robinson, Nervo and Fedde Le Grand between May and September each year.

Yet perhaps the most distinctive feature of this beachside venue is the promoter’s adventurous approach to production. Expect anything from CO2 bazookas and pyrotechnic flares to theatre dance performances while getting funky at Guaba Beach Bar.
