Trentemøller's got that special quality that makes him a cut above other producers operating in the same orbit, and stepping beyond the traditional producer/DJ role, he's devised a live band, with a show that takes his electronic improvisation and fleshes it out with live instruments to create a bewitching sonic rapture. Working with Ableton, symbiotically hooked up to the amps of a guitarist, keyboardist and drummer, he jams live on the spot, drawing from deep wells of electronic groove, creating new sounds on the fly as he keeps the crowd jumping.
A killer live show at Glastonbury has already proved his audacious skills, and now the Danish dude steps fully into the limelight with a headline show of his own at London's Kentish Town Forum on Thursday 8th November. Tickets are priced at £14, and are available from seetickets.com.
DJmag has hooked up with Trentemøller to offer two pairs of tickets to the live show, plus copies of the new 2CD compilation 'The Trentemøller Chronicles' which collects both his original dancefloor bombs on CD1 and his best remixes on CD2. To win, just answer this question:
What is Trentemøller's first name?
Send your answers to: firstname.lastname@example.org along with your name, address and phone numbers. The closing date is Thursday 1st November.
