VIDEO PREMIERE: MARSHALL JEFFERSON'S HISTORY LESSON

House legend features on new track by LetTheMusicPlay

Mysterious London production outfit LetTheMusicPlay have recruited none other than Marshall Jefferson to front their new single — and DJmag.com has the exclusive premiere.

The jaunty house track has house legend Marshall Jefferson starting off talking about cavemen, weaving in a fictionalised tale about how house music got started — by people banging on logs, basically.

Vocal duties are then taken over by the tipped Until The Ribbon Breaks for the chorus — a rousing defence of the power of house music.

The video features hundreds of old skool flyers from parties from back in the day. Watch it here:

LetTheMusicPlay like to feature unusual artists on vocals for their tunes. Their last release, 'Bright', featured Faris Badwan from indie band The Horrors, while last year's 'Our Town' featured spoken word artist Kate Tempest.

Remixes of 'In The Beginning' come from Doc Daneeka, Tom Bulwer and LTMP themselves.
