"I played this three day camping festival called Splendour In The Grass in Australia. It was my first ever proper festival gig. My set time was pretty early, around 2pm and I had no idea what to except.
“I started out playing to about 1000 people, which then turned into around 6000 people crammed into this tent going nuts. When I saw them singing along to songs I'd made in my bedroom, I realized shit was getting serious and I might actually be able to make a living off this.
“By the end of my set I was so overwhelmed by the sheer number of people that I didn't know what to say. I managed to mumble out a few 'thank you's and stepped off stage. I was buzzing for the next three days and can honestly say it was the most fun I've ever had in my life."
