The Warehouse Project

Monster rave event takes over Manchester!

After a rip-roaring set of events at Boddington's Brewery in Manchester last year, and a similar smaller run beneath the city's Piccadilly train station in May, the Warehouse Project is back with three months of parties bound to blow your socks off!
With visions of a rave new world, the series of spectacular electronic music nights will run for three months, from 29th September - New Year's Eve.

Now firmly ensconced in the environs of the old air raid shelter venue under Piccadilly, the Warehouse Project will host a series of parties over the 12 week period, encompassing the full range of dance music, from electro to minimal, drum & bass to electronica, house, techno, disco-punk and more.
On the opening night, Armand Van Helden will headline the Radio 1 Warehouse Project launch party, joined by Layo & Bushwacka! and Krysko, with a very special guest yet to be confirmed. The event will also be broadcast on the radio station for a special four-hour edition of the Essential Mix.

Over the following weeks, the Welcome to the Warehouse Party (5th October) will showcase Dave Clarke, Luciano and Amp Fiddler live, and the Transitions Party (12th October) features John Digweed, James Holden and Cobblestone Jazz on the techno and progressive tip.
Other highly anticipated events include the drum & bass, breaks and hip-hop of The Ape 2nd Birthday (13th October) with Stanton Warriors, High Contrast, Sub Focus, Kentaro and Foreign Beggars, and It Came From Detroit (19th October) featuring the ludicrously good bill of Jeff Mills, François K and the Underground Resistance massive.

Two of the most anticipated events - Radio Soulwax, on 20th October, and a rare DJ appearance from Aphex Twin, on 7th December - have already sold out of early-bird tickets, and tickets are already shifting for their NYE spectacular, even though details of the bash have yet to be announced.
Last year over 10,000 people attended over the three months, and this time around it's only going to be harder, better, faster and stronger!

"It feels quite surreal that this is all about to kick off again - we're not really sure if we're ready for it!" beamed organizer Sam Kandel. "There are some big announcements still to come. We're really pleased with how it's all looking!"
Erol Alkan, who played during last year's Warehouse Project, plays again on 20th November, alongside Annie Mac, Bonde Do Role, Kissy Sell Out and Chromeo. He's stoked to be returning to Manchester to take part.
"Last year's event felt young and fresh, there was a real air of excitement and a brilliant mix of people. I'm curious to see what they're doing next, and this one seems dead exciting as well."

Ticket prices to the different nights vary but most are around the £15 mark. All are available from www.ticketline.co.uk and full line-up information can be obtained from www.thewarehouseproject.com. Go mad fer it in Mancunia!
