With the UK festival scene still experiencing some sort of hyperdrive towards saturation, the onus is now on events to not only release their eye-boggling line-ups as early as possible, but to make sure they are so big they are simply unbeatable.
After a reasonably successful first edition, which saw the majority of London clubland de-camp to an airfield in Upminster, Essex, We Are FSTVL has returned, baring its teeth with a bill rounding up as many recognised dance brands as physically possible in one place.
Paradise, Circoloco, Eat Sleep Rave Repeat, Cocoon, Defected, Hospitality, RAM, Kehakuma are all there, with Apollonia, Solomun, Jamie Jones, Luciano, Sven Väth and Villalobos all making the cut, while the presence of Chuckie, Eddie Halliwell and Cazzette on the We Are ELTRNC (aka EDM) stage sticks out like a fluorescent rave dummy.
