Nottingham DJ wins sets at two infamous Ibiza venues.
We were inundated with entries to the Ibiza DJing Weekend Competition. Seems like a shitload of you would give your right arm to play at Ibiza venues Plastik and Space - and rightly so.
Amongst tons of brilliant mixes, Nick Davy's selection shone through like a diamond in the rough. He'll now be jetting off to the White Isle with a pal to rock the socks off the uber-hip venues.
"It's amazing, I'm so happy," beamed Nick, from Nottingham, when we called him with the good news. "I've worked hard to get here and it's wicked to have this opportunity."
With a perfectly pitched blend of upbeat grooves, tinged with techno, Nick's track selection was peerless.
"I had to figure out what would be best for something at both Plastik and Space. I was trying to get that kind of balance of depth and a funky element. The opportunity at Space is fantastic and it'll hopefully be a good stepping stone to try to move forward."
Well done Nick - we know you'll get 'em jumping! If you're in Ibiza, you can catch Nick play at Plastik on Saturday 1st September and Space on Sunday 2nd September.
