What You Wearing

Filthy Rich reveals his clobber of choice.

What are you wearing right now?

"I'm currently sat in the studio so I'm wearing a grey Marshall Artist t-shirt with my favourite black Marc Ecko hoody, G-Star Contact Elwood dark blue jeans, Diesel belt and white Kutsi pumps from Office."

How would you describe your style?

"I guess my style is quite urban but still smart and constructed. Due to the fact I travel a lot I try to employ a mix of fashion with function - it is important my clothes are stylish but well put together. I always try to buy quality over quantity, this way you get much more wear from your clothes. As Dame Vivienne Westwood said last week if you buy well you don't need to buy as much which ultimately means you are helping the environment."

Favourite designers/labels?

"Marshall Artist, Stussy, Maharishi, Griffin, Denim Is Everything, Modern Amusement, Religion, Marc Ecko, 10Deep and G-Star for denim. These brands are well made and can take the punishment of being on the road. They also don't conform to trends too much which means they can be worn regardless of what the fashion press say. I also pick up some one off bits from smaller labels, which I can mix in with the more established brands."

Favourite boutique/store?

"Selfridges and Liberty in London for the larger brands. Chimp in Leeds is my regular hometown boutique and my good friend Ryan Holiday Stevens label 5Sixteen is definitely worth checking out via ASOS."

Favourite t-shirt you will never get rid of.

"My black and white 10Deep t-shirt from New York. I'll never get bored of wearing it!"

Most treasured item?

"The eternity ring that my girlfriend bought for me from India for obvious reasons. If we are talking clothes then probably my personalized Filthy Rich hoody from Kit N Kaboodle, another of my good friends clothing labels."

What's in the pipeline for you?

"I'm just about to go on my second tour of the States and Mexico. I have the twentieth release on my own label Control Freq just about to come out and we are also about to launch our own Spektre label with an album to follow early next year."
