What are you wearing right now?
“I am wearing an Alexander McQueen cape jacket in electric blue, black matte Black Milk leggings, Christian Louboutin Equestria boots, Phoebe Coleman/Zoe and Morgan jewelry. I'm currently having my hair done in Soho, New York City in preparation to go to a Woodkid concert.”
Do you have any style icons?
“Björk and Victoria Beckham having a fistfight on the dancefloor.”
Describe an outfit you remember from as far back into your childhood as possible…
“I was big into dance classes when I was a kid and it would really annoy my mum when I wore my tap shoes and sequined performance costumes to school. I liked that everyone could hear me coming!”
Who is your favourite designer?
“Erevos Aether. They are the geniuses behind my bespoke show outfits with the mirrors. I met them at Lovebox after my friends Cedric and Fritz from Azari & III performed in their designs. I immediately knew that I just HAD to work with them! Soon after, I modeled in and wrote the music for their fashion film, and they created my entire Burning Man wardrobe. We are working on a collaboration with mad scientist Moritz Waldermeyer on a technological couture masterpiece for my New Year's gig at W Bali.”
What is your favourite boutique?
“I've been spending quite a bit of time in the Rick Owens shop in NYC. It's wonderful cutting-edge couture for airport-hopping. His leather jackets are works of art. The shop playlists are always very interesting as well.”
What is your most treasured item?
“My platinum Zoe and Morgan Snake Bite ring — it has diamond eyes and a large aquamarine gem in its mouth. Aquamarine is the stone of courage. It gives me an extra boost of ferociousness whenever I perform. It is precious to me because it was a gift from a precious person.”
What do you want for Christmas?
“I'd like a surfing holiday in Bali, and I'll be getting it as I am DJing on the beach at the W Bali for New Year's Eve!”
What are you currently working on?
“I'm looking forward to enjoying the magic being back home in New York City, taking Ayahuasca in Brazil, writing music in the jungle, releasing some Scarlett and the Pixels music on Hot Natured, and spending time with Saraswati in some Hindu temples in Bali.
