This week we have another competition for you and it comes in the form of Brazilian d&b duo Marky & S.P.Y, who have come up with two heavyweight contenders for tune of the summer in the form of ‘Yellow Shoes’ and ‘Mystic Sunset’, released on 18th July on Innerground Records.
A side ‘Yellow Shoes’ is a melodic funky roller but has a Brazilian twist with a smooth bassline and big keys, plus Marky on the vocals.
On the flip is a re-work of a track called 'Summertime' by Chris Coco, if you have heard the original then you will recognise the transformation that has taken place from a downtempo trip-hop track into a bass driven drum and bass roller with morphing synths, crispy hi-hats and a vibrant vocal, this is another track that wont be leaving your box for a while.
The kind folk over at Innergrounds have hooked us up with three copies of the vinyl to give away and all you have to do to have a chance of winning is answer this simple question:
Which year did DJ Marky perform his top 20 hit ‘LK’ on Top Of The Pops?
