The summer starts early at the end of this month, with some of the hottest DJs and acts in electronic music descending on leafy Hampshire in the south of England en masse for the first Somerley Tea Party, which is taking place in the beautiful and charming surroundings of the world famous Somerley Estate on Saturday 31st May.
There'll be cider and ale a-plenty as you get down to the sounds of the headline acts that include Eats Everything and Simian Mobile Disco (pictured), with support coming from top house stalwarts Paul Woolford, Ben Pearce, Bicep and OneMan. The Somerley Tea Party will also be showcasing some of the biggest names in techno and drum and bass with live performances from Ten Walls, Crissy Criss and Special Request. A veritable feast of musical delights in the countryside — what more can a chap or chapess ask for?
Put together by those lovely guys Get Satisfied – the south coast's biggest electronic dance music promoter – The Somerley Tea Party promises to be a celebration of electronic dance music culture, featuring the biggest and best names in the genre, while championing that all-important emerging talent. From 12pm Saturday until early Sunday morning over three stages, electronic music aficionados will have their ear-buds dazzled in delight at the biggest beats and breaks from some of the most critically acclaimed DJs in the world.
Taking place against the picturesque backdrop of Old Somerley and the adjacent Dog Kennel Woods, The Somerley Tea Party will be an intimate affair focusing on underground electronic music, bringing together a bohemian fellowship of like-minded party people. Tickets are currently on sale now, with a final release price of £40.
