Driving, melodic, euphoric and techy at the same time.
Best known for:
My spiky hair! Or maybe my remixes of The Killers, Depeche Mode and Robbie Williams.
Tune of the year:
Pryda 'Animal' (Pryda)
Gig of 2009:
Mysteryland festival. I closed the main stage.
Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2009:
Ummet Ozcan… he's a Dutch producer.
The track that changed your life:
Technotronic 'Pump Up The Jam'… it made me switch to a more musical direction.
What makes a good DJ great:
A lot of interaction with the crowd. Playing a set is about educating on one hand, but also playing music that the people are there for.
Most underrated DJ:
Benny Rodrigues. Not so much underrated but he only seems to play in Holland.
Biggest challenge this year:
Collaborating with Robbie Williams.
Top tech toy:
Dave Smith Evolver… it's an awesome synth that sounds almost guitar-like.
