Latmun’s appeal is broad and his tunes have found their way into the bags of everyone from Carl Cox to Jamie Jones. In the last 12 months, Joe Bradley has released on VIVa, Hot Creations and Relief Records and hit Beatport’s top spot a number of times.

“The best tracks I have written have been closely following a party with music that I really connected with,” he says, before admitting that he makes all his music in the box, having first started playing around with production aged 15 on eJay software. “It was a terrible, free piece of software that came with boxes of Kellogg’s cereals,” he laughs. “From that point, I was definitely hooked.”

Saying that he didn’t really have a musical direction at first, he explains: “I only really knew exactly what I wanted to make after being on the dancefloor of the DC10 Terrace.” Now he’s played there himself — and his music also gets played there — and has also headlined places like Creamfields off the back of his big releases. He beams that “it’s an amazing thought that people enjoy and make happy memories to my tracks around the world.”

With new music all lined up for 2018, and a special back to back tour in the works, Latmun’s barreling beats seem unstoppable right now. KRISTAN CARYL
