Selections: DJ IC

In this series, Selections, we invite DJs, producers and label heads to dig into their digital crates and share the contents of their collections. This week, London's DJ IC spotlights ten Afro house and tech essentials

From his early years spent spinning jungle, garage and grime as part of the Aylesbury Allstars crew, to his legendary status in the UK Afro house scene today, DJ IC has spent over two decades at the heart of London’s underground club scene.

Whether he’s playing out to a packed dancefloor, or coming through the airwaves on a weekly basis via Drums Radio, you can be guaranteed impeccable blends of deep, soulful and percussive music spanning Afro house, tech, amapiano and more, all mixed with a masterful touch and a desire to build bridges between the genres’ legacy artists and its emerging stars.

He’s also an incredibly prolific producer, with solo tracks and collaborations with peers at home and abroad landing on labels including Housupa Records, Open Bar Music, Sneja Recordings and Record Union. Most recently, he remixed Karen Nyame KG’s incredible ‘Taboo’, which you can read more about in his Selections below, among none other Afro house and tech gems.
