Fox drops ‘Juice Flow Remixes’ as final release on Swing Ting: Listen

The UK artist's debut album gets revisited by Lenzman, Sam Binga, Sherry S, and Nowheretobefound

Fox drops ‘Juice Flow Remixes’ as final release on Swing Ting: Listen

Manchester MC Fox has dropped a new EP, 'Juice Flow Remixes', which marks the last ever release on the city's lauded label, Swing Ting.

The four-track outing comprises new takes on tracks taken from the artist's 2019 debut album, and is the latest in a string of high-profile offerings from Fox. His sophomore album, 'Squang Dangs in the Key of Vibes', and the 'We Mi Seh' EP with Sam Binga and DJ Polo, both landed last year.

'Juice Flow Remixes' include's Lezman's take on 'Day Ones featuring Tappa Benz', Nowheretobefound's version of the title tune, Sam Binga revisiting the Toddla T-produced 'Rebel Souljah', and Sherry S re-thinking 'Live Life'. The results span drum & bass, 2-step, and soulful garage.

Launched in 2008, Swing Ting built a reputation for the open-minded music policy of its Manchester parties. Finding a regular home at Soup, formerly Soup Kitchen, from 2011 onwards, alongside high profile guests residents Samrai, Platt, Joey B, Murlo, and Fox provided the monthly soundtrack, centring on afro, dancehall, bashment, UK funky and more.

In 2014, the operation stepped up a gear with the launch of the eponymous label. The stable's first LP, '100 Dances', arrived in 2020. The crew's final event had been scheduled to take place last December, but was postponed due to the omicron Covid-19 variant. At the time of writing, no new date has been confirmed.
