Premiere: Janice Iche x NKC ‘Afterlife’

Janice Iche and NKC have teamed up for a new release on Even The Strong. The ‘How You Flow’ EP will be released on 11th March, and you can hear the track ‘Afterlife’ below. 

NKC, the Bristol-based percussive club music producer behind Even The Strong, and Janice Iche, one of DJ Mag’s artists to watch in 2022, worked remotely to produce the three collaborative tracks that make up ‘How You Flow’. UK Funky and amapiano-influenced beats come together under futuristic sound designs and cosmic melodies, with Iche’s velvety vocals, sung in English and Swahili, wrapping around each track’s rhythmic pulse. 

Alongside the three collaborative tracks, the EP’s instrumental dubs appear in the release under different titles. Artwork for the EP comes from Anthony Muisya, a digital pop artist from Kenya who uses collage to document contemporary African culture.
