ADE 2019: 7 Huge parties not to be missed

ADE's biggest shows unpacked...

Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) kicks off on Wednesday 16th October. The six day event sees the Dutch city of Amsterdam taken over by the sound of electronic music. One-part conference/networking event, one-part city festival, ADE is unique for its ubiquity across the city. But with so many events to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start. Here is our streamlined guide to the major parties that should be on your radar...

SULTA SELECTS

Scottish selector and DJ Mag Best Of Britsh winner Denis Sulta does his thing all night long on Wednesday 16th October at Claire. Expect technicolour disco and house, plus plenty of guilty pleasures! Support comes from Mino Abadier and Paulta Tape. 

OUR STORY - 15 YEARS OF TOMORROWLAND 

Belgium’s legendary Tomorrowland festival bring their 15th birthday bonanza to ADE. Stadium-filling behemoths Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Aoki, Tiësto, Netsky and, Afrojack hold court at the Ziggo Dome on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th October. 

 AUDIO OBSCURA AT MUZIEKGEBOUW AAN 'T IJ

Masters of the mega-party, Audio Obscura return to ADE on Friday 18th October. Techno titan Len Faki makes his debut, with Blawan, Ellen Allien, Dr. Rubinstein, Colin Benders, ROD and Henning Baer also set to play at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ – a concert hall usually soundtracked by classical music. 

HET WEEKEND AT DE SCHOOL

Nestled away in an unassuming neighbourhood in West Amsterdam is a little slice of paradise — De School. Aside from some interesting looking lectures and other reasons to pop down during ADE, the main draw is the legendary Het Weekend which runs from Saturday 19th right through until Monday 22nd October, with sets from the likes of LSDXOXO, Dr. Rubinstein, Upsammy, rRoxymore, Carista and Job Jobse to name just a few...

TOP 100 DJS AWARDS CEREMONY AT AMF

More than 1.2 million of you voted in this year’s Top 100 DJs poll. The winner will be unveiled live on stage at the Johan Cruijff Arena in front of 35,000 fans as the flagship moment of Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF). Taking place on Saturday 19th October, the soundtrack will be provided by Don Diablo, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Tiësto, Alesso, Jonas Blue and an exclusive II=I set from Timmy Trumpet b2b W&W.

DOCKYARD & MYSTIC GARDEN FESTIVALS

On Saturday 19th October, Dockyard and Mystic Garden Festivals join forces at Havenpark. One entrance, two festivals, more DJs than you can shake a stick at. Here’s a brief taster: Eats Everything, Dax J, Alienata, Dubfire, Surgeon, Nastia, Matador, DVS1, Solardo, Ellen Allien.

INTO THE WOODS FESTIVAL

The Dutch powerhouse returns for another two-day event on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th October at NDSM Wharf. This year sees Krystal Klear, Volvox, Axel Boman, Anetha, Bufiman, Tom Trago, Luke Slater and more on the decks.
