This year’s Top 100 Clubs poll is the biggest to date! Over half a million of you, from all over the world, voted for the dancehalls that define your weekends.

Latin America is among the most dominant regions in this year’s poll. Formed from the Spanish and Portuguese speaking nations of South America, Latin America boasts an incredible climate, stunning natural scenery and a populus who are as passionate as they are beautiful. So it’s no surprise that their club scene is second to none. These are the best clubs in Latin America in 2016.


Brazil is blessed with no less than 7 clubs in this year’s poll, but the indisputable king of the bunch is Green Valley.

Born from humble beginnings back in 2007, Green Valley started life as nothing more than a makeshift teepee in the middle of an airfield! These days, Brazil’s No.1 Club has the vibe, feel and atmosphere of a large festival. A visit to its epic 6,000 capacity main room should be on every committed clubbers bucket list.


Situated in the heart of Bogota, Baum has established itself as one of biggest and most popular nightclubs in the Colombian capital. A new entry in last year’s poll, the club has since jumped from 46th to 29th. Over the past year, Baum has had a its fair share of big-name international guests including Ellen Alien, Carl Craig and Sasha in addition to, renowned techno selectors, Marcel Dettmann and Chris Liebing.


Lost Beach Club, located in the tiny Ecuadorian resort of Montanita, is a true spectacle. The inside space, dubbed “The Cave”, is an afterhours essential where you can catch DJs including Damian Lazarus, Soul Clap, DJ T, Steve Bug, Art Department and Jackmaster. They also pla ay alongside talented residents such as Slurm, George Levi, Melissa Santa Maria, and even the venue’s owner, Kami, who built the club himself.


La Huaka has been instrumental in the development of Peru's dance scene since the turn of the millennium. With a comparable vibe to Ibiza’s DC10, the club’s annual Beach Fest event played host to Davide Squillace, Francesca Lombardo, M.A.N.D.Y. and Paco Osuna. La Huaka's reputation for bringing in the best international acts to this exotic venue is well-and-truly deserved.


Velvet Paraguay is sumptuous!. Part luxurious lounge bar, part bass-heavy rave cave, Velvet’s main dancefloor features storey high HD screens, pulsating smoke machines and oscillating lasers, proving the people of Paraguay don’t do their partying by halves!

Local DJ hero Gian Varela is a regular on the Velvet decks, alongside recent international acts including DVBBS and Calvin Harris. Velvet’s bar area is more of a laid-back affair — quilted couches and downward lit concaves allow for a welcome respite from the dancefloor — all watched over by an enormous V that hangs, glittering, above the bar.
