Back To Yours: Tecture

Ready for the after party? WE ARE!

1.   In our new Apple Music playlist series, some of our favourite DJs guide us through a selection of their ultimate afterparty tunes. This week's selector is Tecture.

Ahead of his new release on Berlin label BTAIM, we asked Tecture to dig through his collection.

Check out what he had to say on his selection below.

Arca – Piel (2017)

"The new track from his upcoming self-titled album. I think It perfectly underlines his aesthetic. Im really in love with the way he creates emotion in his tracks."

2. Grandbrothers – Prologue (DJRUM Remix) (2016)

"Oustanding piece of music that is! Although it makes me sad listening to this it gives me hope in the end."

3. Biosphere – Decryption (1994)

"R. from ItaloJohnson suggested me that album. Really in love with this oldschool ambient/techno tracks Biosphere created. Will definitely try to listen to more of his impressive discography."

4. Drexciya – Cascading Celestial Giants (2002)

"There will be a repress soon of this timeless classic Stinson and Donald put out right before Donald’s death in 2002."

5. Gaika – Bohdy Knows At 90 (2015)

"A new promising talent from the UK! Totally in love with his sound which comes by analogue machines mostly and combines Grime, Dancehall and Trap together with such an incredible realness and very great videos."

6. Babyfather – Platinum Cookies (2016)

"Babyfather is also a great mysterious talent from the UK. So in love with the way he combines classic hip hop elements  with modern trap. Sounds like Quasimoto met J Dilla and they turned it a bit too loud."

7. Vince Staples – BagBak (2017)

"For me Staples is actually one of the most interesting artists in the californian Hip Hop scene. His sound are rough and kind of new, frightening and he does some dope rhymes."

8. Erykah Badu – Hello ft. Andre 3000 (2015)

"20 years ago ‚Baduizm’, her first solo album, came out and is still as fresh as when it was released. Love the new style on this one - 100% match with André 3000. Dope!"

9. Thundercat – Show You The Way (2017)

"This became my new wakeup song. He’s such a genius and comedian in one person. If you haven’t watched the ‚Tron Song’ Video from him you better do. Looking forward to his concert in Berlin."

10.

The Internet – Something’s Missing (2015)

"First seen them at the Dimensions Festival in 2014. Totally fell in love with the lead-singers (Syd) voice and damn cool attitude. Hoping for a new album to be released soon."
