Little Things Like That

Clone
It's pretty weird hearing Untold make 4/4 techno. The guy's from a jungle background, and his most notable releases ('Anaconda', 'Stop What You're Doing' et al) have thrived on wild, unpredictable programming. Still, the best people will try anything once, and on his debut for The Netherlands' legendary Clone label, he uses the 4/4 grid as an excuse to get as free as he wants to with the sound design and atmosphere of the track, which ranges from washes of electric crackle to numbed tape saturation. It doesn't sound like Untold - at least, not Untold as we know him - but it's pretty hectic, and keeps you on your toes the entire way through.
