Ahead of his debut album in September with Pinch’s Tectonic imprint, Ipman drops a tough 12”. ‘Regicide’ is merky in all kind of ways: flourishes of jungle, a suitably hype vocal from some far-flung Jamaican soundclash and a bassline to ignite the dance — this deserves to be in everyone's top ten box right now. ‘Ghostrunner’ on the flip drops the tempo, but retains the mood — bass throb, but with hyperkinetic staccato percussion and stompy drums.
