Talking (Bleep)

Stones Throw
Edan on the mix (and he's becoming like a white skinny Premo — i.e someone with a few inimitable tricks up his sleeve that he keeps cracking out cos he knows we can't resist) and my god what a mix — squeaking early '70s Miles trumpet, bristling jazz-funk, sudden lacerating swathes of Schifrin-style melody. A perfect backing for HS's massively engaging dialogue about fans, critics, lovers, and the impossibility of keeping everyone happy. It's an old trick Edan does on the vocals (you know the one, dubbing the last word into massively-reverbed space) but it works a treat throughout. From the soon-drop 'Kindness To Weakness' album.
