Slowly, surely, the mighty piano is reasserting itself as an instrument of first choice in house music, and not necessarily by commercially-inspired producers just having a cheesy arms-in-the-air moment. Nelski's 'Original Mix' here is a simple but slick workout with cool chorused vocals, and an insistent piano hook that lifts the whole track. Radio Slave needs no further invitation, and runs away with the ivories theme, adding a piano bassline and generally getting all majestically epic, leaving Jesse Rose to come in and rough it all up with some jerky and angular, but never overbearing beats.
