The times they are a-changin'. Or maybe not, in Tensnake's case. The three tracks on 'Coma Cat' are an unashamed homage to the '80s - not any random part of the decade, but that curious period between the end of disco and the beginning of house. 'Need Your Lovin'' is a mid-tempo electronic boogie complete with female vocal part, 'Get It Right' its slightly more up-tempo companion, both disturbingly authentic. 'Coma Cat' itself is a clear winner, however - a sort of bizarre cross between Gwen Guthrie's 'Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent', early New York garage and an old school David Morales dub.
