If there's a hotter label on the house scene at the moment, it would have to cleverly distract Toy Tonics from its current proliferation. This latest slab is from Kian T (geddit?), a 'mysterious Italian producer', who constructs bumpy, funk-laden house music from up a hill somewhere in wine country. These are indeed drunken grooves, notably the magnificent 'Good Things', a mucky, p-funked romp. 'Room 69' too wobbles in all the right places. Bonus track 'In My Eyes' nails down the wayward percussion, and it's skippy and brilliant.
