No one does percussion quite like MCDE (aka Danilo Plessow), and this, a release on his own imprint in conjunction with Amsterdam's Rush Hour, cements such sentiments. 'Send A Prayer Part One' thumps, and there's probably not another word to describe it quite as succinctly. Jazz horns, nagging off-key stabs, and thump. Loads of it. 'Part Two' is possibly better still, a rolling, unstoppable groove, while additional tracks 'The Stranger' and 'SP11', would be enough to secure this release Money Shot status on their own, but as is, they're simply augmenting an EP which is so up our strasse, it hurts. So to speak.
