Based in Aberdeen, T_A_M drops this scintillatingly original selection of oddball house music, courtesy of London's grimy, experimental Local Action imprint. 'Fifth of Lust' wobbles and quakes in all the right places, heavy on the filters and heavy on the funk. It's brilliant. 'September's Silk' is thick with warm, pulsing synths and bass, its loose percussion skittering all over the place, and any semblance of 16-bar structure out of the window. 'Sweat' is minced up, fucked up disco boogie, full of claps and, come the breakdown, stuttering euphoria. Not since the likes of Akufen has house been this weird and this thrilling.
