Premiere: Animistic Beliefs 'Mescal/Druid'

Rotterdam-based electro duo Animistic Beliefs utilise analogue sonics and DIY modular synths on their new LP, 'Mindset:Reset'. Listen to the artists' modern take on fast-paced electro that spirals into warm ambience on 'Mescal/Druid'

Animistic Beliefs will release their new LP later this month.

The duo, who formed in 2018 and made their debut on Solar One sub-label Between Places, have since released on the likes of Cultivate Electronics, and return to Solar One Music with their latest offering.

Producing their music with a range of vintage analogue equipment and DIY modular synth, the eight-track 'Mindset:Reset' explores traditional electro through a vivid kaleidoscope, bringing together textures and melodies spanning electronic genres, and transcending light notes and dark chords.

'Mescal/Druid' closes the EP at the lighter end of the kaleidoscope. Opening with three minutes of simmering electro, the track soon spirals into bubbling chaos, before the tracks final minutes ascend into lighter, more ambient territories.

'Mindset:Reset' is out on the 24th September on vinyl and digital formats, with a limited number of green transparent vinyls available. Pre-order the LP here and listen to 'Mescal/Druid' below.
