Premiere: Anna Lann ‘Carabela (Placid One's Ambi Mix)’

Multi-disciplinary experimental artist Anna Lann readies her ‘Embodiment’ EP on Ransom Note Records. Hear Placid One’s triumphant ambient remix of ‘Carabela’ now...

Tel Aviv-based, Latvian-born multi-disciplinary artist Anna Lann will release her ‘Embodiment’ EP via The Ransom Note Records on 14th December.

A producer, composer, singer, videographer, visual artist, dancer and DJ, Lann has become a celebrated figure in the Israeli capital’s underground scene and beyond thanks to her varied approach and versatile catalog.

‘Embodiment’ is an absorbing collection of experimental electronics, organic sounds and altered vocals that will more than satisfy fans of Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith or Cucina Povera’s ‘Hilja’ LP on Night School Records earlier this year.

The EP also comes with some superb remixes, veering from headsy techno (Nick Höppner, Richard Sen) to cinematic ambience (Flug 8, Placid One). Placid One’s reimagining of ‘Carabela’ is emotive and rich, layering synth swells and miniscule details to make something irresistible yet simple for fans of acts such as Steve Hauschildt.
