London’s femme culture will release the new single from São Paulo artist and DJ BADSISTA this Friday, 18th January.

Known for her electrified fusions of techno, jackin’ house, baile funk and bass heavy rhythms, BADSISTA debuted on femme culture last year as part of their second compilation in aid of UN Women, alongside Minimal Violence, label founder Elkka, Nightwave, India Jordan and more.

BADSISTA’s debut solo outing for the label – who also booked the London leg of her 2019 European tour – is a fiery, percussive stormer with rousing vocals and some weighty bass maneuvers. The title ‘Machooka’, BADSISTA explains, comes from “Machuca in Portuguese, which means ‘to hurt’, and in this case, in a good and sexy way”.

Check it out below.

The single follows Elkka's 'Every Body Is Welcome' EP from November 2019. Read our interview with Elkka here.
