Next up on emerging London label TT – FKA Tobago Tracks – is a split EP from Bianca Scout and AF85.
Following some superb releases from the likes of Yeongrak and DJ Mag Fresh Kicks mixers object blue and Lucaufer, this four-track EP is a striking selection of sound collage, spoken samples and luxurious ambience. From AF85’s two vivid and nostalgic vignettes featuring interviews and clips from old athletic events to Bianca Scout’s enthralling, scattershot compositions and vocal work, this is a release that reveals itself gradually over repeated listens.
‘Regalia’ is a thing of mournful beauty, full of altered everyday sounds, warped drones and piano motifs that veer from sweet to dark and decaying and back again. Fans of Laurel Halo’s recent ‘Raw Silk Uncut Wood’ EP, The Caretaker’s ‘Everywhere at the end of time’ album series or the work of Klein (with whom Bianca Scout has collaborated) will find a lot to love here.

‘AF85/Bianca Scout Split’ is out on Friday 26th October and will be available from TT’s Bandcamp.
