Premiere: Bored Lord ‘So In Luv’

Bored Lord debuts on Eris Drew and Octo Octa’s T4T LUV NRG with ‘The Last Illusion’ EP. Hear the hazy breaks of ‘So In Luv’ now

Bored Lord will release her new EP, ‘The Last Illusion’, via Eris Drew and Octo Octa’s T4T LUV NRG next week.  Listen to the release’s closing track, ‘So In Luv’, below.

After a dizzyingly prolific year of releases through her own Bandcamp, on which the Oakland-based artist has dished out rave anthem after rave anthem, Bored Lord’s T4T debut makes her the first artist outside of its founders to have music on the label.

All the Bored Lord hallmarks are here: spiky breaks and classic hardcore beats are embellished with scorched acid lines, gritty bass and soft keys. Her knack for a perfect pop sample opens the EP, morophing No Doubt’s ‘Don’t Speak’ into a shapeshifting club dazzler. ‘So In Luv’ closes the EP with smoky dub delay, dreamy breaks and driving bass.

The EP’s artwork was designed by Periwinkle Lamb and is, along with the release’s title, inspired by Larry Mitchell’s 1977 novel The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions and its accompanying illustrations by Ned Asta.

‘The Last Illusion’ will be released on Friday 6th October. Pre-order it here.
