For their second ‘Scuffed Presents...’ compilation, breakthrough London label Scuffed Recordings has invited producers from its catalog to remix one another.
Headed up by Reprezent Radio resident and recent DJ Mag Fresh Kicks selector High Class Filter and Definite Party Material's Ian DPM, the label’s output has consistently outdone itself with fusions of house, UK funky, techno, breaks and bass.
‘Scuffed Presents 002’ finds Marshall Applewhite, Chungo, High Class Filter and 95Bones remixing previous releases on the label. 95Bones’ ‘Monsoon Season Mix’ of DJ Ronald Reagan is suitably stormy and thunderous reworking with a pounding, percussive rhythm and phat, humid bassline.
