Joey Negro will release the third instalment of his ‘Remixed With Love’ series on Friday 16th November.

The longstanding remixer and DJ – real name Dave Lee – has put together yet another edition of his revered compilation, this time with club-ready edits of Sister Sledge, Gwen McCrae, Gladys Knight & The Pips and more.

Opening proceedings is an edit of The Fatback Band’s ‘(Are You Ready) Do The Bus Stop’ which, as you might expect, is a typically joyous, anthemic, funky and soulful disco cut that will find a happy home on many a modern dancefloor over 40 years after its original release. Check it out below.

“I can clearly remember in the 80s having fantasies about being a remixer and dreaming of tweaking my favourite songs and re-releasing them,” says Dave Lee of the release in an official statement. “I really never thought it would happen. The days when I receive the parts for some of these classic recordings are literally a dream come true.”

“Judging from comments and suggestions I get from people online thankfully there is still a large appetite for re-workings of 70/80s material,” he adds. “Something you can’t bank on when you embark on the project. I hope you enjoy the music.”
