Premiere: Freaks 'He's Angry (Villalobos Techmix)'

Music for Freaks celebrates its 20th anniversary with a third instalment in the label's 'Let's Do It Again' series. Hear the menacing minimal bass and warped vocal work on Ricardo Villalobos' discordant edit of 'He's Angry' now

Ricardo Villalobos will feature on the upcoming Music For Freaks remix package.

Celebrating Music for Freaks 20th anniversary, the label, co-run by Luke Solomon and Justin Harris, will present a new EP in their track re-imagination series, 'Let's Do It Again, Part 3'.

Alongside The Martinez Brothers and Tuff City Kids, Chilean minimal legend Ricardo Villalobos steps up with a typically wonky modification of 'He's Angry' for the EP, which drops this Friday 20th September.

Villalobos' Techmix of 'He's Angry', of which the original has also seen remixes from Argy and DJ Mag's BONA DJ award winner Honey Dijon, transforms the original into a minimal eight-minute edit. Shifting into focus on a menacing bass line, warped, nightmare-ish vocals melt into sparse percussion, before culminating in a stripped-back dancefloor staple.
