Premiere: Insolate ‘Illusion’

JoeFarr readies a 12-track compilation album on his User Experience label. Hear Insolate’s blazing techno cut ‘Illusion’ now...

JoeFarr has curated a 12-track compilation album to be released on his User Experience label on 4th April.

Featuring tracks from Corroid, Ike Dusk, Insolate, Rowka and others, himself included, the release is a blistering affair full of the sort of haywire, engulfing techno the label has become known and loved for.

Insolate, who has previously released on the label as well as on the likes of Suara and Homevvork, serves up one of the comp’s most incendiary numbers in ‘Illusion’. A sprawling, noise-laced  peak-time cut, you can hear it premiering below.

“The idea behind this track was make something powerful but not necessary hard and fast,” she says of the track. “I played a lot with layering and sound design using many different instruments as well as some acid machines, the Monark synth and the analog rhythm for the bass and rhythm section.”
