Irish experimental, neo-classical and ambient producer/composer J Colleran has followed up his debut album from June with an EP of remixes courtesy of patten, Gábor Lázár and Flora Yin-Wong.

‘Gardenia’, Colleran's first LP under his own name, was an expansive and ambitious collection “inspired by the ancient rolling hills of the his hometown, uprooting warm organic sounds and immerses them in cold metallic settings.”

The remix EP finds three artists – each renounced for their unique, often warped take on club music – bringing their distinct sounds to the table, reimagining album tracks for the dancefloor, utilising their rich foundations and turning them into something altogether more up-front and mobile.

London-based project patten delivers a tripped-out garage rework of the cascading, piano-led ‘bERA’. While the remix brings the track closer to a club setting, it loses none of its core emotional heft, something that the album is replete with at every turn. Check it out below.
