Klein Zage will release her ‘Womanhood’ EP via her own Oprhan imprint on 1st March.
The Orphan. co-founder readies the label’s third release, featuring three incendiary cuts of razor sharp house and UKG rhythms. Also featured on the release are remixes from DJ Python, Local Artist and Ariel Zetina – whose track, ‘Chino’, we premiered last year.
With the title track announcing itself as “a nihilistic declaration of menstruation”, and follow up ‘Absolutely’ – which you can hear below – being described by Zage as “A sure but sly advocacy for female orgasm” and “UKG for your inner Samantha Jones”, every corner of this club-ready EP bursts with intent. With tongue-in-cheek, cutting vocal samples, heavy grooves and bright melodies, this is one for uproarious, joyous dancefloors.
