Premiere: Leevisa ‘Indoor Labor’

Seoul’s Leevisa sculpts an off-kilter club music eulogy on ‘Koreography’. Hear the duelling breakbeats, field recordings and ravey bass bursts of ‘Indoor Labor’ now

Leevisa will release a new EP, ‘Koreography’, via Toronto label Perpetual Care next month.

Presented a sort of eulogy to the artist, with an accompany obituary-style text, the four-track EP is a collection of off-kilter club music that weaves naturalistic field recordings through bursts of ravey bass and breakbeats; characterful vocal interjections and lo-fi melodies combine to create a truly intriguing release that puts a playful avant-garde twist on classic dancefloor sonics. Paired with the EP’s morbid concept, and you’re onto something truly unique.

You can hear ‘Indoor Labor’ from the release below.

‘Koreography’ will be released on 4th February. Pre-order it here. A “memorial service” will also take place on the day in the Perpetual Care cemetery.
