Local Group will release their ‘Laser Dome’ EP via Ritual Poison on Friday 19th October.
The London-based duo of LMajor and Corporeal Face are fresh off a summer that saw them demolish the festival floor at Field Maneuvers as well as continuing their residency at a “dirty little rave” playing alongside Mark Archer and Storm. Inspired by those sets, the duo’s new EP is rich with gritty breaks, jungle shapes and the unhinged glory days of early ‘00s hardcore rave.
Three original cuts and a remix from Dexorcist make this one of October’s essential EPs. Below, you can hear ‘Random Utterances’, a breaks-fueled slow burner that pushes forward with heavy, low growling acid bass and an almost cosmic lead synth arpeggio.
