MarcelDune will release her new EP, ‘Trnc’, via DJ Plead’s SUMAC imprint on 4th May.

The Athenian producer, who has previously supported the likes of Plaid and SOPHIE, dishes up a full-throttle series of maximal club sounds on this four-tracker, fusing modular synths, digital sounds and field recordings to create something at once febrile and detailed.

Inspired by life in the city, MarcelDune describes her music as both aggressive and melancholic. “It is all about the strangeness that people face in everyday life,” she says. “How they struggle against all conformities, and how younger generations try to fight them through art, dance and music.”

The title track merges fierce and syncopated rhythms with feverish trance arpeggios. Check it out below.
