Spanish producer ORBE will release his new EP, ‘Excited’ on Maceo Plex’s Ellum Black imprint this Friday 7th December.
Following releases on John Talabot’s Hivern Discs and Maceo Plex’s other label, Lone Romantic, ORBE steps up with three cinematic and cavernous techno cuts that will make for an absorbing headphone listen, but will work just as well on the dancefloor.
‘Excited’ – the EPs title track – utilises a delayed, robotic vocal repetition and clattering percussion to create a moody atmosphere before an altered gamelan veers in, turning the track into something altogether more playful. A cold, towering synth pushes the track to its bassy close. Check it out below.
