Premiere: Perel ‘Super Venus’

Leipzig’s Riotvan label will release the second volume of their ‘Familiar Faces’ compilation series tomorrow 5th October.

With tracks from label members Panthera Kraus, Jennifer Touch, Perel, Black Spuma, New Hook, it’s a veritable selection of gems from an understated but ever-consistent label.

Berlin-based rising star Perel opens up the EP with ‘Super Venus’. A carefully paced cut of proto-electronics, the cut feels inspired by the synth-wave records that the DJ/producer – real name Annegret Fiedler – began mixing in 2008. With enveloping arpeggios and cinematic keys, the track wraps itself around the listener, making for a superb introduction to a top notch release. Check it out below.
