Premiere: Tominori Hosoya ‘We Wish 2 Cherry Trees Bloom Forever (full length version)’

Tominori Hosoya will release his first full-length album  on his own TH Pressing label this month.

Since launching TH Pressing in 2014 Hosoya has used the label as an avenue through which to champion fellow Japanese artists as well as his own productions. ‘Halfway’ marks the label’s fifth release.

With years of experience under his belt and releases on labels such as DeepArtSounds, Mixx Records, and Minuendo Recordings, Hosoya’s ‘Halfway’ feels like a cornerstone of his career. Over 10 tracks, as the official press release for the album says, Hosoya was inspired old, special memories and the “precious things, people and emotions in his life”. As the album courses from light ambience to atmospheric house and breaks you can feel that tangible emotion and reflectiveness running through it.

It’s apparent from the get-go, as the opening track ‘We Wish 2 Cherry Trees Bloom Forever (full length version)’ drifts in with a light percussive backdrop before giving way to reverberating keys and melancholic melodies. You can hear it below.
