Moscow’s Uninc & Kolomensky will release their new EP, ‘Pagan Rave’, via their own ИДА label this December.

The label’s seventh release finds the emerging DJ/producers on top form, fusing traditional slavic folk tropes and samples with heady electronic grooves and rhythms. ‘Ancient Tool’ is a percussive house number with shouted vocals, submerged acid and a spacious atmosphere. The title track, meanwhile, is a more reserved affair with traditional slavic folk vocals and flutes hovering above a steady deep house beat.

On remix duties are Olsvanger and Timothy Clerkin. Clerkin’s remix of the title track – which you can hear below – slows the pace down, but ramps up the heft, giving prominence to the thick synths and percussion while still allowing the atmospheric traditional sounds soar.
