hot on the heels of the stunning Floorplan debut album, Rob Hood delivers two new releases that swing back towards techno. Less abrasive and jarring than his pioneering minimalism, 'Eleven' revolves around a lithe metallic rhythm and an ominous chord sequence. Subtleties are left aside for 'Alarm', a droning, repetitive groove, while 'Phobia' is like a more intense take on the sound Hood explored on 'Paradise', as steely drums provide the backing for one of the Detroit producer's eerie organ sequences.
